Frequently Asked Questions
If your question isn't answered here, please contact us!
Are parades mandatory?
Short answer: yes. We realize many of our twirling family members travel significant distances for lessons and team. As a result, we understand it may not always be feasible to participate, but if and when you are available, it is absolutely 100% mandatory. Parades are an opportunity to showcase our sport and our team to the community and are mutually beneficial experiences.
Do I have to compete in competitions?
No. We do not require our athletes to compete, but it is encouraged. Competitions allow skills to be evaluated and corrective criticism to be provided - both are necessary to continue to advance our abilities. If you have never competed, but are interested, please reach out to one of our staff. There are competitions at the local, state, regional, and national level that our program participates in throughout the year.
Am I permitted to take Saturday lessons if I am not on team?
Yes. However, team members will have priority for times and availability.
Can I come practice at The Summit on Team Weekends if I am not on team?
Yes. There is a $10 fee paid to The ShowTwirlers.
How many extra private lessons can I sign up for on Team Weekends?
Three (3) total half hour lessons until Thursday at 5:00.
