This Week In ShowTwirler World #3

Hi Fam - 
Happy Monday! Things are starting to kick into gear with a THON5K performance next weekend (Oct. 22), the Halloween Parade on the Horizon (Oct. 28) and team weekends (Oct. 14+15 Altoona, Oct. 28+29 Findlay).

For those that are new-ish to our program, we take the Fall somewhat slow. The baton twirling "season", unlike other sports, runs almost the entire year... 10 months to be exact.  It's important to our staff and to our athletes that during the Fall months we find balance. BECAUSE... when the clock strikes midnight on January 1 it is GO TIME. 

Use this time before the crazy to:

• Be a kid
• See a movie
• Go to a sporting event
• Whatever the things are that you may have to miss in the Spring. 

If we have learned anything over the past few years, balance is KEY. Our kids are most successful when they find the right percentage of training to laughing. That being said, in person team weekends are critical. We cannot "afford" to not have our competitive kids in the house for those dates. Please follow our calendar and plan to be in attendance.

Competitive team invoicing

Invoices are now available for September and October.
Below read the below instructions carefully:

• Returning Students - Invoices can be paid through Studio Director. Any outstanding balances from the 2022-2023 season have been added to your current balance. If you have any questions about any amount due please contact Ashley @ 419-722-7862
• New Students - Visit theshowtwirlers.com and click on the Studio Director link at the top. DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT. Hit the Forgot password button. Use the email you listed on registration and set up a new password. Any questions should be directed to Jenn @ 814-599-1388
• If there are any issues questions, please ask Jenn Hall @ 814-599-1388! We apologize for the two months of billing. Next month we will be back on track!
  
• Automatic payments - if you are signed up for auto payments in Studio Director they will not start until Nov. 1. On Nov 1, the total amount owed will come out so please make any necessary changes to your billing prior to Oct. 31.
  
• ​Any outstanding balance from the 2022-2023 season is due prior to scheduling any lessons this year.

trick and​ treat... baton trick style! 

Sunday, Oct. 15 @ The Summit Back Parking Lot - 3:30-ish! 

• ​We are so excited to have such a great response from parents!!!
• Trunk-or-Treat should allow the kids to get outside of the gym and spend some FUN time together.
• Remember this is replacing the party from previous years, and we want as many kids to join us as possible!! There are approximately 35 people that responded that they will be attending and 30 families that said they will decorate their car. 

Decorating:

• Parents - nothing needs to be elaborate (but we won’t complain if you wow the kids either ;) )
• There are a few Gluten Free in our bunch so keep that in mind when planning your treats.
• For those who have not participated in a similar event - simple ideas can be fun!! The kids are happy to see YOU there!!
• We will plan to be set up around 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15 and the kids will join by 3:30! 

Treat Collection Bags will be provided by The ShowTwirlers Booster Club!

Hollidaysburg halloween parade

• Line up: 5:15 pm
• Step off: 6:00 pm
• ​Costumes:  are being finalized and a price will be given out soon.
  
• Meeting location:  will be communicated the day of the parade.
  
• Tiger Stadium is the address to use for a GPS to get you close to the line up.
  
• Parade route: N Montgomery St, right on Garber St, left on N Juniata St, left on Allegheny St, left on Union St, ending around Spruce St & Walnut St.
  
• **Note: The ending location has changed from previous years.
