The ShowTwirlers are a competitive baton twirling team based out of Altoona, PA. Under the ownership and instruction of Pam Maierhofer, the ShowTwirlers consist of baton twirlers ranging from age 3 to 25. These athletes perform and compete at various local, state, and national competitions and events.
The studio provides instruction in every area of baton twirling. Whether you are brand new to baton twirling or a seasoned veteran, we are prepared to help you achieve your goals. Whether you want to become captain of your high school majorette line or dream of someday being a national champion, we love setting goals and working hard to make them come true!

Our Philosophy
Every child needs and deserves to have dreams. Some may dream of playing in the NFL, others may want to dance on Broadway. Maybe they want to be a teacher or a doctor. We cannot always help them achieve those goals specifically, but we can provide them with an atmosphere where we actively focus on goal setting, attention to detail, self-motivation, independence, confidence, sportsmanship, and personality - among many other things.
Our studio is an atmosphere where we challenge twirlers' motor skills, coordination, and ability to work as a team. The ShowTwirlers studio is a place where dedication meets success. We treat each individual uniquely, and allow him or her to set their path for baton twirling and create their own personal aspirations.

Our History
The ShowTwirlers started in 1998 by Pam (O’fiesh) Maierhofer. Pam began teaching baton right out of college when her Dad, Charlie O’fiesh, built her first baton studio. She called the group “Pam’s Chargers” – because she was driving a Dodge Charger at the time!
Pam fell in love with teaching baton and has been doing it ever since. Baton has seen her through a move to New Hampshire, where she owned “Ameri-Kids” baton group and finally, a return back to Pennsylvania where she began “The ShowTwirlers.” The studio location may change, the name may change, but one thing has remained constant: the passion for teaching and encouraging young aspiring baton twirlers.
